Restrict the use of network functions
Restrict the use of network functions, You can limit chats and messages with other players, and set limits for purchases on the PlayStation ™ Store. This setting is valid for children who are allowed to join the PlayStation ™ Network.
Select a user from (Settings)> [Parental Control / Family Management] and select the item you want to set.
It is also restricted when using PS Vita or (PlayStation App).

Allow communication function only in specific games
Even if Communication and User Created Media is set to Do not allow, you can enable in-game communication for certain games only. Set whether to allow the request sent by the child according to the following flow.
Operations that children do
If your child tries to use the communication function during the game, you will be prompted to send a permission request. Follow the instructions on the screen to send a request and an email will be sent to family admins and parents.
Operations performed by the administrator/guardian
You can check the received request from the following website using your computer or smartphone. After signing in with your account, select [Family Management]> [Allowed Games] and set whether to allow it or not.
Sign in to PlayStation Network
You can sign in to the PlayStation ™ Network. Select (Settings)> [Account Management]> [Sign in to PlayStation Network].

- PlayStation ™ Network is available in a limited number of countries, regions, and languages. For details, please see the support site in each region.
- Once you sign in, you will be signed in to the PlayStation ™ Network unless you have manually signed out.
- The user name displayed when logging in will be the real name registered in the account once you sign in to the PlayStation ™ Network.
When using an account created on another device
You can use the account created on PS Vita or the website.
Enter your sign-in ID (email address) and password, and select [Sign in].
When creating an account for the first time
[Are you new to PlayStation ™ Network? Select [Create an account] and follow the on-screen instructions to create an account.
- When creating an account, enter personal information such as your email address, date of birth, real name, and address of the person registering. For the handling of registered personal information, please refer to ” Data Handling / Precautions for Health ” or the website of each region.
- Once you have created an account, you will receive an email at the email address you registered. Please check according to the instructions in the email.
