LLM Syllabus and LLM Exam Pattern

Various universities across India offer LLM courses. Either they conduct their entrance test or accept admission through CLAT. However, some private universities and institutions accept CLAT PG scores for LLM admissions. The Consortium of National Law Universities conducts the CLAT LLM exam.

The CLAT LLM intends to assess the candidate’s knowledge of compulsory subjects of an undergraduate law degree. It includes;

Constitutional Law, Torts, Environmental Law, Law of Contract, Company Law, Property Law, Criminal Law, Labour & Industrial Law, Jurisprudence, Family Law, Public International Law, Tax Law, Administrative Law.

AILET LLM 

All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is the entrance exam through which National Law University, Delhi accepts admission. AILET is the standard entrance test for admission to undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG) and doctorate (PhD) courses.

AILET- LLM Syllabus

The AILET entrance exam includes questions from the following topics:

Jurisprudence, Law of Torts, Property law, Family Law, Intellectual Property Law, International law, Law of Contracts, Criminal Law.

 

University of Delhi- LLM

The National Testing Agency (NTA)  conducts the DU LLM exam on behalf of the university. The aim is to provide admission to LLM courses at the Faculty of Law, DU. DU offers full-time and part-time LLM courses. It is conducted at specific testing centres in the online mode. The Faculty of Law is one of the prestigious institutions for LLM courses. Therefore, the competition is tough for DU LLM admissions.

PU CET LLM

The Panjab University, Chandigarh, administers a national-level entrance exam for various postgraduate courses. The LLM admissions in PU are also through the PU CET exam.

BHU PET Exam

The Banaras Hindu University conducts its entrance exam to provide admission to postgraduate courses for law aspirants. The candidates must clear the decided BHU cut-off to get admission to LLM courses at BHU. The exam is conducted once every year.

BHU CET- LLM Syllabus

The topics that you must focus on while preparing for BHU CET LLM include:
