How do you find ndis service providers?
A service provider is a person or group that gives you the help you paid for.
Most of the time, you can choose and control who gives you help in your plan. Most of the time, you can choose where and when your supports come to you. ndis service providers Perth is best for ndis services
The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission has signed up some service providers. This means that they have to follow strict rules about the quality and safety of their services. These people are called “NDIS registered providers.” The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission has a website where you can find out more.
We call a provider who isn’t registered with the Commission a “unregistered provider.”
Most of the time, you can pick any provider you want. For some types of support, you must use providers who are registered with the NDIS.
You can get help from your Early Childhood Partner, your Local Area Coordinator, your Support Coordinator, or your Recovery Coach. We can’t tell you which service providers to use. But we can tell you about the different service providers in your area so you can choose which one to use.
You can also look for providers online, read reviews, or ask friends or family for advice. Before choosing a provider, it’s a good idea to talk to a few of them.
On the myplace portal, you can look for NDIS-registered providers, or you can look at our lists of providers for each state and territory.
We don’t pay family members to help people unless it’s one of a few very specific situations. Find out more about this and how to keep informal support in place.
How do you decide what kind of help you want from your service provider?
Once you’ve picked a provider, you’ll need to talk to them about what kind of help they’ll give you.
You can talk to your support provider about what you’ll get from it. For example, you and your provider can agree on:
- what comes with and doesn’t come with the support
- the price of the help
- what you and your provider need to do
- how you or your provider can change the agreement if you or they want to.
- how you and your service provider will work out problems and disagreements.
- You can negotiate with service providers with the help of your Early Childhood Partner, Local Area Coordinator, Support Coordinator, or Recovery Coach.
Not all services need a written service agreement. But having one and writing down answers to the types of questions listed above is usually a good idea. This way, you and your provider can both see what you agreed to. For Specialist Disability Accommodation, you need a written service agreement.
We pay for the help, but we are not a part of the agreement. The service agreement is between you, the customer, and the company that gives you the service. This is a legal contract that you both have to keep up with.

What happens if your deal doesn’t work out the way you want?
You need to talk to your provider about any problems. In your agreement, it’s important to spell out what you want and what your provider needs to do.
Service agreements are subject to Australian Consumer Law. This law protects you as a customer when you use your NDIS funding to buy support.
If you have a complaint or need advice, you can get help from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC). We also have info about other places where consumers can get help.

The help wasn’t given in a safe and respectful way.
supports that weren’t given to a good enough level
how a provider for the NDIS handled a complaint about the help they gave you.
