An Overview
Dudhsagar Falls is a beautiful and exquisite waterfall located on river Mandovi. Situated on the border between Karnataka and Goa is known as one of India’s tallest waterfalls, the Dudhsagar falls. In Dudhsagar trek from Bangalore, the major highlight is the rich flora and fauna but this one has an added highlight. It has a very old railway track. Available through the Indian Rail Network, this trek is also reachable through jeeps operated by private tour operators. The waterfall is the most beautiful thing to watch during monsoon season, when it pours down from a height of more than 310 meters, as white as milk.

Mandovi River
Mandovi River flowing in Western Ghats neighbouring between 2 states creates a drop at damsel of Goabordering Karnataka. This is 4 tiered waterfalls and the water jumps from the height of more than 310 metres above the sea level and waterfalls like Sea of Milk and hence the name Dudhsagar.
This trek is a must do for all the trekkers, nature lovers and who is anyone interested in exploring nature due to the scenic surroundings this place poses at the beginning and on the process takes you into its dream world of picturesque views and we head in to the forest of Western Ghats to reach the guest house near the falls maintained by the Karnataka Forest Office. This place is enclosed by Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary which is filled with beautiful Wildlife consisting of flora and fauna, if you are a regular trekker then the important thing to do first is take the permission from Forest Dept before going on a trek and be guided.

- Start trekking straight for 20 km on the railway trail along with some beautiful water streams by your side.

- After the exciting trekking activity, return back to Bangalore in the shared transfers and end the experience or journey on a happy note.

Things To Carry:-
- Backpack: Opt for one with broad straps as it won’t put much pressure on your shoulders.
- Raincoat and a strong umbrella is a must: To shield you from the rain or sometimes heavy rain can also occur.
- Bright your own Personal medication and toiletries.
- Sweater or Jacket: To keep you warm during cold mornings and night and to give you a warm feeling.
- A good quality Sports Shoes is a must while trekking and with good traction
- Torch and with it always carry 2 or 3 extra batteries.
- Sunscreen and a cap to protect your skin from bright day light.
- Comfortable Track pants and full sleeve cotton T-shirt
Advisory:-
- Avoid uncomfortable clothing during the activities (like wearing sarees or some long frocks etc.)
- Carrying jewellery or other valuable things is not advisable as there might be a chance they get stolen.
- No smoking and consumption of alcohol before or during the activity as it will affect both your health and journey.
- Plastic (like chocolate wrappers, beverages bottles, water bottles, poly-ethane covers, etc., should be carried back to Urban jungle.)
